Get in touch

I'm semi-retired after four decades in software, and I still enjoy hearing from people who are trying to figure something out. If any of the below sounds like you, send a note and I'll do my best to respond.

Good reasons to get in touch

  • You're looking for guidance. Stuck on an architecture decision, a tech-stack choice, or a career question? I've probably seen a version of it before and I'm happy to share what worked and what didn't.
  • You've got an idea and you're not sure if it's any good. A fresh set of experienced eyes before you build something can save months. Tell me what you're thinking and I'll tell you honestly what I see.
  • You'd like someone to take a look at your site. I may be open to reviewing a site in detail, though whether I take it on depends heavily on the niche and what you're trying to achieve. Ask.
  • You've spotted a bug or improvement on one of my tools. Bug reports, feature ideas and small corrections are always welcome.
  • You're a Chedgzoy (or a Chedgey, Chidgey, Chedzoy…) and you have something to add to the family-name page – a story, a photo, a correction. I'd love to hear it.

Prefer WhatsApp?

For mentoring, one-to-one training or any kind of longer back-and-forth, I usually prefer WhatsApp to email – it's quicker and less formal. If that suits you better, add your number (with country code) in the optional field below and I'll reach out there instead of replying by email.

Honest disclaimer: I only speak English. If you'd need to talk in another language I probably can't help, but please don't let that put you off if you're comfortable communicating in English.

Please don't use this form to pitch me. Cold sales emails, SEO services, link-building offers, outsourced development, agency partnerships and the like will not get a reply – they won't even get read past the first line. This inbox is for genuine conversations only.

Send a message

Your email address is only used to reply to your message. Nothing is stored on this site – the form sends straight to my inbox. Submissions are rate-limited to prevent abuse.
