[2026-06-14 verify] EXISTENCE + BIRTH: "Robert" [Walter Robert], age 13, son -- 1871 SSG census (RG10/2369/58/15), Michael #100 + Elizabeth Coate household. b. c.1858, SSG; son of Michael #100 + Elizabeth Coate. Death from Sue Froud's Michael-branch page (15 Jun 2026): Walter Robert Chedzoy, 3rd son of Michael Chedzoy (#100) and Elizabeth Coate, baptised SSG 20 Dec 1857, married Martha House 4 Apr 1882; Martha died 25 Feb 1927 and Walter died in 1949. Father link (#100 Michael) matches. NB possible duplicate record #1711 (same person). Merged duplicate #1711 (16 Jun 2026): same baptism, Stoke St Gregory 20 Dec 1857, parents Michael + Elizabeth. Source from the merged record: {CENSUS} Lifelong Stoke St Gregory resident, well documented. Son of Michael Chedzoy (#100) + Elizabeth Coate - confirms parentage. Birth Index Oct 1857 (our record says 1858); married Martha House; daughter Dora. Census 1871, 1891 and 1911 all at Stoke St Gregory (indexed variously as Robert/Walter). Died 13 Feb 1949 at Taunton (Death Index Jan 1949; multiple member sources; confirms our 1949). [Ancestry, transcription pass]. {CENSUS-IMG} 1901 Census GOT: Walter Robert #130 (recorded as "Robert", Head, son of Michael #100) at Stoke St Gregory; wife Martha (nee House, ~49); children Clifford (~18, b.~1883), Bertha (~?), Martha (~13, b.~1888). These children = NEW grandchildren of Michael #100 to add (currently #130 has no children linked). TNA RG13/2273-2275. [image attached to #130] {DEDUP-FLAG 21 Jun} Two "Bertha Sarah Chedzoy" now under #130: #699 (b.1888, the "Bertha age 13" in the 1901 census - correct) and #147 (b.1898). The 1901 household lists only ONE Bertha (age 13) and 3 children total (Clifford 16, Nora 14, Bertha 13) - so #147 (b.1898) is likely a DUPLICATE of #699 with a wrong year, OR mis-attributed. Also Dora Elizabeth #1856 was NOT in the 1901 household (born later, or check). Reconcile #147/#699 + Dora. Source: FreeREG record
