His line carries the surname ADAMS via his daughters (the #1819 Adams family), not Chedzoy. OPEN/UNRESOLVED: (a) his marriage to Mary Ann Adams has no date/source; (b) the DB BirthPlace "Birmingham" conflicts with the SSG-gap baptism note -- the SSG origin is the better-supported one. Closed as researched-to-limit; flagged for any future primary-record find.

John Chedzoy (Gait), b. ~1813/14 GOATHURST, Somerset (DB had "Birmingham" -- WRONG; corrected); son of John #1761 the mason + Ann Gait #1762; m. MARY ANN ADAMS #1813; d. Jul 1873, Bridgwater (Durston/Grenier tree + GRO/Somerset burial). 1851 census household at NORTH CURRY (the family moved Goathurst->North Curry->SSG). The "Adams" surname enters here via wife Mary Ann Adams -- son John Chedgzoy Adams #1819 founds the Adams offshoot. >>> Bare children (#1816 Tom, #1817 Mary Ann, #1818 Louisa, #1820 James, #1821 Charles, #117 Mary) need the 1851/1861 North Curry census to date -- DEFERRED (record was in preview-mode, did not open cleanly).
