[2026-06-13 Ancestry] Parentage confirmed (son of James #1668 + Eliza Bell): 1861 Wales census (b.~1858 Llantwit Vardre, father James, mother Eliza, sib George) + 1871 Wales census (Treforest/Gelliwion, sib Mary Ann). Married Louisa; by 1881 had moved to FLIMBY, Cumberland, England (West Cumberland coalfield/iron) with son John. A WWI medal-roll John Chedgzoy may be him or his son. No confident death found yet -- left blank.
{CENSUS/DIASPORA} MAJOR confirmation. Son of James Chedgzoy (#1668) + Eliza Bell - his US records carry the middle name BELL (John Bell Chedgzey), naming his mother. 1861 census at Pontypridd (Llanwonno) and 1871 at Gelliwion, Llantrisant, Glamorgan, WALES, in his parents household (siblings George and Mary Ann #2043). Then EMIGRATED to the USA, following his father: 1910 and 1920 US censuses at Bannock County, IDAHO, and 1930 at Cache, UTAH; married Agnes Emma Cutler (Utah). This confirms the whole #1668 family Somerset -> south Wales -> Idaho/Utah migration. [Ancestry, transcription pass].
