Sources & research
Death (found 16 Jun 2026): a Martha Chedzoy was buried at Stoke St Gregory on 17 Oct 1742 (FamilySearch, 'England, Somerset, Church Records, 1501-1999'). She is the only Martha Chedzoy buried at Stoke St Gregory in this period, and she fits Walter's widow: she married Walter Chedzoy (Chedsey) there on 30 Nov 1701 and was widowed when he was buried 3 Apr 1710. The burial gives no relationship, so the identification is probable rather than proven. Her maiden surname is spelled 'Musgrove' in the 1701 marriage register (recorded here as Musgrave).
