Son of Walter Chedzoy (#32) and his second wife Martha Musgrove; baptised 28 Oct 1705 at Stoke St Gregory (recorded under the Chedsey spelling): FreeREG record . Married Jane Goodridge on 2 Feb 1728/9 at Stoke St Gregory. This is the direct paternal line (generation 3). Children of Walter and Jane confirmed at Stoke St Gregory (FreeREG, each naming father Walter, mother Jane): Isachar (baptised 26 Sep 1731, FreeREG record); Achsah (baptised 25 Dec 1733, FreeREG record); Levi (baptised 21 Sep 1735, died an infant, buried 9 Nov 1735, FreeREG record); an unnamed child (baptised 28 Feb 1742/3, the forename illegible in the register); and Mathew (baptised 30 Nov 1746, FreeREG record). Three further children held from WikiTree / the GEDCOM are not in the surviving FreeREG baptisms, because the Stoke St Gregory register has gaps and illegible pages across roughly 1736-1742: Levi (b. c.1737, who carries the direct line and married in 1763), and Walter and Martha (the illegible 1742/3 baptism above may be one of them). A second Matthew on the record may be the 'Matthew Chedzoy' buried at Stoke St Gregory on 15 Apr 1741 (an earlier son who died, the name then reused for Mathew 1746), but that burial gives no parentage, so it is unconfirmed. Walter was buried at Stoke St Gregory on 1 Feb 1784, recorded as a pauper: FreeREG record [FreeREG] (consistent with WikiTree Chedzoy-14).
