Matthew Chedzoy

Son of Walter Chedzoy and Jane Goodridge, baptised 30 Nov 1746 at Stoke St Gregory. FreeREG record No further record has been found for him. A county-wide FreeREG search of Somerset marriages (1766 to 1805) shows no Matthew or Mathew Chedzoy as a groom; no baptism at Stoke St Gregory names him as a father; and no burial for him appears in the Somerset transcripts (searched 1746 to 1815). His trail ends at his baptism. He most likely died young (the Stoke St Gregory burial register has gaps in this period) or left the parish. Treated as unmarried with no traced issue unless further evidence emerges.
