Son of James Chedzoy (#1767) and Sarah (nee Wilment), baptised 13 Oct 1822 at Stoke St Gregory (father's occupation mason, of Stoke St Gregory). FreeREG record Recorded as buried 1844 (from WikiTree/the GEDCOM; not yet checked against a record). His own marriage and death are for a later research turn. [2026-06-13 AUDIT ERROR] IMPOSSIBLE PARENTAGE: Samuel #102 is recorded b.1822 d.1844 (died age ~22) yet has 12 children linked (#191, #194, #195, #196, #198, #1876, #1877, #1878, #1879, #1880, #1881, #1882) whose names (Ada Lillian, Beatrice Mabel, Ella Sophia, Frederick Charles, etc.) are clearly 1870s-90s births. They CANNOT be his -- mis-linked to the wrong Samuel. Needs the real father identified (a later Samuel Chedzoy, prob. Birmingham). Children left linked but FLAGGED -- do not treat as his. NB #1882 William James here is NOT the 1898 WW1 casualty #2055. [2026-06-14 RESOLVED] ERROR FIXED. #102 is a real but short-lived man: baptised 13 Oct 1822, buried 1844 (died ~22), son of James #1767 + Sarah Wilmont; brother of Michael #100 & Emmanuel #62. He had NO children. The 11 previously linked here (Eli Samuel #194 etc.) actually belong to Samuel #597 -- their mother is Selina Gapper Musgrove #1875, whose husband was Samuel #597 (b.1856), NOT this man. Re-parented #102 -> #597. #102 left childless (correct). [2026-06-14 marriage fix] Removed his stale marriage to Selina Gapper Musgrove #1875 (she was Samuel #597's wife, not his). #102 left with no recorded spouse (correct -- his own marriage unknown). {CENSUS} Died young (1844); no census trail surfaced. A member-photo entry gives birth Sep 29 1822 (consistent). Would have appeared once in 1841 (age ~18) but no matching transcription found. [Ancestry, transcription pass].
