FreeREG record Recorded as having died in 1878 (from WikiTree/the GEDCOM; not yet checked against a record). His marriage is for a later research turn. [2026-06-14] 1861 census (RG9/1615/55/7) confirms household: m. Elizabeth Hoel; children Samuel #597, Mary Ann #1807, Cuthbert #103. {CENSUS} Strongly corroborated: external tree (parents James Chedgzoy + Sarah Wilmont) gives spouse Elizabeth Hoel, son Cuthbert, b.23 Oct 1820, d.6 Dec 1878 Stoke St Gregory. Death confirmed by Civil Reg. Death Index (Dec 1878 Somerset), Somerset C of E Burials, and a Find A Grave index entry (headstone image a later mop-up).
