Migrated to Bristol: 1901 census at Bristol with wife Lucy (b.~1860, Ruishton near Taunton) and daughter Lilly M (b.~1888 Bristol); his birthplace recorded as "Stoke St George" (= Stoke St Gregory). Verified 13 Jun 2026 via the Ancestry census run. His own marriage + further children are for a later pass.
[2026-06-13 Ancestry] BIRTH refined + DEATH CONFIRMED. Born 13 Oct 1844, baptised Stoke St Gregory (was held as 1845). Migrated to Bristol; married Lucy Hill. Died 20 Oct 1920, Bristol. Sources: GRO Civil Registration Death Index 1916-2007 (George Chedgzoy, b.abt 1846, d. Oct 1920 Bristol) + Find A Grave (d. 23 Oct 1920) + Chedgzoy/Bell tree (b. 13 Oct 1844, d. 20 Oct 1920). Census chain: 1851 & 1861 Stoke St Gregory (1851 with father John, mother Ann, sibling Daniel), then 1881/1901/1911 Bristol (St George). A founder of the Bristol branch. NOTE: a DIFFERENT George Chedgzoy (b. Bristol abt 1845) died Jun 1907 Somerset; not this man.
