Sources & research

Daughter of John Chedzoy (#28) and Ann. The imported data records a baptism of 27 Jun 1830 at Stoke St Gregory (Chedzoy spelling) and a marriage to William Stephens (Elworthy, 1848); neither is yet confirmed here (the 1830 baptism's parents need checking, and the marriage verifying). PARKED for the Ancestry/census pass. FINISHED to available sources (12 Jun 2026): confirmed daughter of John #28 -- present in his 1841 SSG census (Eliza, age 10, EV-003) and ABSENT from the 1851 household (EV-001), so she left home / married c.1848-1851. The imported marriage to William Stephens (Elworthy, 1848) stays UNVERIFIED and the place is geographically doubtful for a SSG girl. After marriage her records are under a married surname (death not traced). One-name-study research on her is complete; only a married-name death/marriage cert would add more. {CENSUS} Child of John Chedzoy (#28, the apex) + Ann; appears as a child in the #28 household at Stoke St Gregory (1841 era). Later mop-up for adult records. [Ancestry, transcription pass].
