A Dinah Chedgzoy was baptised at Stoke St Gregory on 16 Aug 1840 (FreeREG, Chedgzoy spelling), which is very likely her; her parentage is taken from the imported data and to be cross-checked against the census. Her marriage and death are for the census and civil-registration (Ancestry) pass. [merged from duplicate #1671] Child of John Chedgzoy and Ann, mason, baptised 16 Aug 1840 at Stoke St Gregory. Siblings: Thomas, Mary, Martha, Hannah, James, Louisa, Charles, Dinah. Parents confirmed from the FreeREG baptism record. [2026-06-13 Ancestry] DEATH CONFIRMED: died Q2 1868 (Apr to Jun), Taunton reg. district, Somerset, as a married woman. Sources: GRO Civil Registration Death Index 1837-1915 (Dinah Parsons, b.abt 1839, d. Jun 1868 Somerset) + Somerset C of E Burials 1813-1924 (Dinah Parsons). Married Henry Parsons (per Chiplen WD tree; corroborated by death under name Parsons). Identity tied to this family by 1851 census (father John, mother Ann, sibling Daniel) and 1841 census + Stoke St Gregory baptism Sep 1840. [2026-06-13 caveat] A PRIOR session flagged the "Parsons" lead for this Dinah as possibly conflated. Today corroborated independently via GRO Death Index (Dinah Parsons, b.abt 1839, d. Jun 1868 Somerset) + Chiplen WD tree (spouse Henry Parsons; father John, mother Ann; b. SSG 1840). Treat as PROBABLE until the Chedgzoy-Parsons marriage record (or her GRO death cert) is seen. DeathYear kept as 1868 circa for progression, flagged probable. {CENSUS} Child of John Chedzoy (#28, the apex) + Ann; appears as a child in the #28 household at Stoke St Gregory (1841 era).
